Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thailand fighter, mixed martial arts artist, and fights in the UFC flyweight division. She is the elder sister of another fellow UFC fighter and an earlier UFC Flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko began her fighting sports journey as a Muay Thai Kickboxer. She first made an appearance in the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals via unanimous decision. Antonina took home a trophy of silver in 2007, a medal of bronze in 2008 and a medal gold in 2011. Then she won the title of IFMA Amateur World Muaythai Champion in 2016. Antonia was first introduced to the professional world in at the age of 2003. She won the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championships 2012 and the Lightweight Lion Fight Championships in 2016, as well as the WMC World Championships as well as Phoenix FC World Championships 2016. Antonina defeated Isa Tudblad Keskikangas for her last fight at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a unanimity. Antonina Shevchenko made her first professional MMA record at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan against Anara Bayanova. She won through TKO during the 2nd round. She went on to win her next two fights at the WXF X-Impact World Championships, 2003. This gave her an MMA record of 3-0. Shevchenko was forced to take a break from MMA in order to focus on her boxing. Shevchenko made her comeback at the end of 2017 in a fight with Anissa Diddaoui. Shevchenko defeated Anissa Haddaoui with a unanimous decision. She later defeated Valerie Domergue, at Phoenix FC 4 by unanimity. She resigned from the organization and began Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina employed her impressive punching skills and striking skills to TKO Nievera in the clinch with knees and body. In the aftermath of this fight, Antonina was awarded an UFC deal. Antonina Shevchenko made her UFC debut at TUF Heavy Hitters Finale against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko was victorious with a unanimous decision. She lost her second fight with Roxanne Modafferi via split decision. Antonina bounced back from the loss to defeat Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke submission and earned the fight of the evening bonus in the fight. Shevchenko lost 1-2 in the following three fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, and lost to Katlyn Chokagian and Andrea Lee. Antonina was recently defeated by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
